2010 has been an extraordinary year both for me personally and for my Calgary interior design company. I just want to take a moment and reflect on my many blessings as the year comes to a close and I prepare to celebrate the holidays with my friends and family.
There have been so many terrific moments of 2010 that as I look back on them, I am astounded by my good fortune. I have had the opportunity to work with some amazing clients and my design team has created some absolutely beautiful spaces for them. Travelling to Italy to visit the marble quarries, to New York City for a design conference and to the Highpoint Furniture Market in North Carolina were incredible trips which inspired and rejuvenated me. My design firm was able to give back to the community and work with some non-profit organizations and I can’t say how wonderful it felt to be able to contribute in a meaningful way to these projects. Some of my design projects were featured in prominent home tours and were photographed for Canadian House and Home magazine – a career goal I have been working on for years! I have made many new friends through this blog and the other social media outlets that have become very important to me. It really has been a remarkable year, with so many positive things happening. Looking back, it seems almost surreal, and I am so grateful for all of it.
I want to send out a big thank you to the universe for all this overwhelming goodness. I am so appreciative of my family and friends, co-workers, clients, and everyone else who plays a part in allowing me to follow my passion for interior design and actually make a living from it. Doing what you love is such a privilege and a rare circumstance in this day and age. Also, to the readers of the Pink Chandelier blog, thank you so much for all your kind comments and support – it means the world to me.
I’ll be taking a break from the blog until the New Year, but in the meantime I hope that all of you have a joyful holiday season filled with laughter and happiness. May 2011 be your best year yet! Personally, I can hardly wait for what 2011 has in store. See you then!
